COVID-19 Utility Moratorium

  • The COVID-19 Utility Moratorium ends September 30th. The Department of Commerce has a webpage dedicated to FAQs in 36 different languages to ensure your community has the information they need to call their utilities providermake a plan and keep their service. Community members can access this information at:  https://www.commerce.wa.gov/utility-assistance/.

Testing guidance re: rapid testing vs. PCR testing

Resources for you as a Community Partner:

  •  Hosting an event? DOH has a SMS messaging resource for organizations or partners who are planning community COVID-19 vaccination event(s) and would like to promote the event to the community via SMS (text messaging). Please fill out a request form here with at least 7 days’ notice before the event.

At this link you can access some great tools like:

  • Partner Events– you can post when you are hosting a vaccination clinic, webinar series or Q&A event
  • Other Events– these are events you may be interested in that are not sponsored by DOH or other contracted partners
  • Partners utilizing the DOH scripts– these are the scripts that help answer many questions about COVID-19 and partners can share if they are creating a video, using them in a post or article.  We want to know how you are using this great resource!
  • Partner Collaboration– we know that many partners are working together and would love to know about it. This tab will provide the organizations working together and highlight some of the work they are doing

Emergency Broadband Benefit Program information – up to $50 per month discount on internet service for low-income residents.

The Emergency Broadband Benefit (EBB) is a federal support program to help households struggling to afford internet service stay connected during the COVID-19 pandemic.
