HCA certification course is now enrolling for the Fall class! If you have are interested in starting a health care career, you can enroll in this free training at ReWA.
Upon course completion, students will receive the Washington State Home Care Aide 75-hour training certificate and place you with one of partner employers at an HCA agency or long-term care facility. They can also use this training to become a paid caregiver for a family member, friend, or member of their community who is qualified for care through DSHS.
- Class begins October 24th
- Orientation on Zoom, October 18th
- Classes will be online, Monday-Thursday, 10am-2pm
- Additional in-person and Friday class days required
- Clients should be at least ESL Level 3
- This training would cost $600-800 at a private training facility
- Upon class completion, ReWA assists with the $222 fee for students’ state exam application on a sliding scale
- Starting salary for most caregivers is currently $19-20/hr or higher
