Vaccination protects where it matters most: against severe illness, hospitalization, long-term symptoms, and death.
It’s particularly urgent that we reach families in South King County. The rates of children vaccinated clearly show inequity in King County. Only about 24% of children 5-11 in South King County have been vaccinated, compared to 75% in North and East King County.
One of the ways trying to address this disparity is to provide information that is easy to understand, answers parents’ and caregivers’ questions, and is more widely available to those who need it.
The attached Outreach Toolkits for Organizations: Resources to help families with questions COVID-19 & vaccine for kids 5 to 11 pulls together information and resources so community leaders and organizations can use what is in the toolkit to help with answering questions, provide more information, and easily share the included resources.
