Vaccines are approved for children ages 5-11 The Rainier Beach vaccination clinic (located at the SE Senior Center) is now open from 1 to 7pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays! Boosters, 1st and 2nd dose and pediatric vaccines are all available. Some pediatric appointments have been set aside at Rainier Beach for our CBO partners – please use this link (only available to partners) to schedule appointments for children ages 5-11 over the next two weeks: https://seattle.signetic.com/home/75d35f85-d553-ec11-8c62-000d3a5af348 (as always, please do not share this link publicly!) The Department of Health has emphasized the importance of 21 days between 1st and 2nd doses for pediatric doses. Unfortunately, due to December holidays and the fact that the West Seattle and South Lake Union sites are only open on weekends (meaning the 2nd dose would fall on a holiday weekend) the City will only be offering pediatric doses at the Rainier Beach site during the month of December. Please use the link above to schedule at Rainier Beach! Expanded hours at South Lake Union: Following the news that the CDC is recommending boosters for every individual age 18 and older to help protect against the Omicron variant, the South Lake Union Clinic will expand hours of operation to reach more people. Starting Saturday, December 11th, the South Lake Union clinic will operate Saturdays and Sundays, from 8:30am – 5pm, adding capacity for up to 2,000 additional doses per day. In-person interpretation in American Sign Language, Cantonese, Mandarin, Spanish, and Vietnamese will be available at this hub. Details, hours of operation, and a registration link for appointments at all the City sites are available at: https://www.seattle.gov/mayor/covid-19/vaccinations Registration link: Other than the special CBO link for pediatric doses for Rainier Beach, use the link found on the City’s COVID page to schedule appointments: https://seattle.signetic.com/service?lang=en SFD Pop-up Vaccine Clinics for Boosters: To help reach individuals that may have a hard time getting to a vaccination site, the Seattle Fire Department will be able to offer mobile vaccination clinics focused on boosters (no pediatric doses) during the month of December. Please let me know ASAP if you are interested in hosting a booster vaccination event, and we will get you scheduled!
